The Twenty Percent

The entrepreneur that I talked with for this exercise was an individual that started up and owned Celebrated Experiences. Celebrated Experiences is a travel agency that books vacation to England & Wales, Ireland, Italy and Scotland. When I discussed with him who his 20 percent target consumers were they said individuals that and an interest in having a unique experience when traveling to these areas, specifically people that do not have family in the surrounding areas and may not know much about them. Celebrated Experiences prides themselves on the fact that they help vacationers not feel as though they are tourists. When I discussed with two adults and one college student that met this profile and they were given the choices between Celebrated Experiences and other travel agencies the said that they would choose Celebrated Experiences. When you are traveling you do not want to be felt like a tourist, you would rather feel as though you know your way around. I believe that the entrepreneur does adequately understand their customers and knows how to reach out to them perfectly.

**Because of the company being in Atlanta I tried to discuss with people in the Atlanta area and therefore my interactions were on the phone and unable to be recorded.

  1. Hi Leigha,

Sounds like your entrepreneur knows just what he/she is doing. I see that your interactions were on the phone so I am a little disappointed that I couldn't see the videos but I understand. How did you get in touch with the customers?

Celebrated Experiences sounds like a great business. Nice choice.

  2. Hey Leigha,

Great post! It sounds like your entrepreneur is very involved in his/her opportunity. Celebrated Experiences caters to a very broad customer range as Celebrated Experiences helps to improve the consumer's experience when traveling abroad. Here's my post if you'd like to check it out:

  3. This is a great entrepreneur to talk to. travel is such a big industry now. It would have been nice to know some of the personal details about them; where and how they started. As well as the types of questions and discussions you all had. Either way I'm sure you learned a lot. Also you included some great tips about traveling.

  4. Hi Leigha,

This sounds like a great idea! I would love to travel more, and I recently went to England and France with my sister's college class. I absolutely felt like a tourist! It would have been great to be in a much smaller group, and not have matching bright orange backpacks.

Plus, this sounds like a company who would give you a better experience than just the typical cookie-cutter tourist one. I would have loved to have heard some of the customer reviews from their travel experiences. All in all, great idea!

I did not have a chance to interview anybody, so here is the link to my general class blog.

  5. Hey Leigh,

You did a fantastic job with this assignment! It's a shame that the company was located in Atlanta, cause I would have loved to hear their insight. However, I thought you did an excellent job with what you had. I agree that your entrepreneur does know his 20% well. Again, great job! Here is a link to my blog if you're interested:
