The feedback that I received on the last elevator pitch helped me realize that I need to add something to my app that will make it more different than the ESPN apps and google. I have decided to add an element to the app that under the specific sport that you choose, it will then give you an easy version of the rules, positions, and calls that are often made during the game. This will make it that the app is also being designed for individuals that may not know a lot about the sport.
Leigha,
ReplyDeleteCool idea you have pitching here! I for one would probably use this app to help me with understanding what exactly is going on within the sport, who's playing what, and what all those complicated calls mean. I also appreciate that you are outside somewhere, and standing instead of being in a dorm; it gives a nice appeal to your pitch. I would say you could relax more when speaking and not worry about stumbling over words, you are doing great! It was also great that you incorporated the advice from other comments into your pitch in order to make it even better than before. Overall great job and thanks for sharing. Hey Leigha! I think your idea is really interesting and can be very beneficial to people like me who struggle in understanding the rules of some sports. The only thing I worry about is, what is it about your app that is going to make people use it versus ESPN and Google. I like that you included the difference between your app and ESPN but I would think that people who are downloading a sports app generally know the rules of the game that they are watching. Here’s a link to check out how my third pitch went: http://cxgoss.blogspot.com/2016/03/elevator-pitch-no-3.html
ReplyDeleteLeigha,
ReplyDeleteRight from the start you were welcoming and dynamic. I loved how you were smiling and kept the pitch interesting - not boring at all. I payed attention the whole time. Also your idea is great. Overall one of the better pithes I have watched as you kept it concise and informative and interesting. Great job!
